Chhaayakar has been photographing weddings and family milestones in Varanasi since 1999. Ganesh Sharma founded the studio on a simple belief that photography is a responsibility, not just a service and that belief still shapes every wedding we take on today.
A wedding itself lasts a single day. The photographs from it are looked at for generations by children not yet born, and by grandparents who will not always be there to tell their own stories. That is what we think about with every wedding we photograph.
We work with a limited number of weddings each season, guided personally by Ganesh Sharma and a small, dedicated team, so that every couple receives real attention rather than a rushed, rotating crew.
